Introduction

The A-Com and related devices simulate the connection used by the virtual pets to allow you to connect them to a computer/mobile. You can connect to the world of W0rld, as well as other apps to unlock new routes within your v-pet. Check out this guide for more information about each of the vpets.

A-Com

The A-Com is the simplest and most popular variant (created by Ben|Katsu).

The a-com is a very basic device and you can do it yourself!

D-Com

The D-Com (created by BladeSabre) was the original design. It performs the same function as the A-Com but is more complex and requires more components. It is no longer recommended to build this yourself.

P-Com

The P-Com (created by BladeSabre) is a new design using RP2040. It supports all devices currently supported by the D-Com/A-Com, plus iC and Twin infrared, and D-Scanner barcodes via infrared.

Wificom

Like a P-Com, but controlled via WiFi instead of USB. It supports all devices currently supported by the P-Com, plus real-time battles on Legendz Talispod and Talisdam. It is the only type compatible with iOS.

Other Devices (Digivice Helper, Beta Link, Bazjo D-com)

You may have heard about the Digivice Helper or similar, it's a dcom or acom with some additions (changing the original idea of BladeSabre and Ben). They are usually prefabricated models by the community and sold through Discord or websites, they fulfill the same function although sometimes adding an update can be more complicated.

You can customize it too and create versions similar to a real vpet.

Bazjos Dcom (EU based, ships international)

Components

The components to create an a-com are not very numerous and their price is not high, among some of these components are:

  • Arduino Nano / (Clone) UNO
  • 5.6k Resistors
  • 3.9k Resistors
  • Breadboard
  • Breadboard Jumper Wires

For the d-com we will also need the following components:

For the Wificom

Please note that if you buy an unsoldered arduino you will need a tin soldering iron. To use the a-com or d-com you have to load the program in the arduino, below you have several help links. ⬇️

Don't worry! If you still don't know how to do it or you don't see yourself trained, you can request a premade unit on discord.

Compatible Programs

This a-com or d-com is not only to enjoy the adventures in W0rld, you can also use different apps for pc/android like Nacabattle, where you can upload your digimon and store them, have your own DigiDex, consult the Digipedia, have your digimon living and interacting in your own farm space, or just directly or indirectly battle among other utility tools like the DCom/WifiCom Updater or the console to check different roms and unlocks.

(some older apps include A-Com Wiki, Alpha Terminal, Alpha Serial, but most of those are not up to date or directly non supported anymore)

Guides

For greater ease when using a-com or d-com I leave some links that can help you:
