It is one of the digimon that we can recruit for the DigiLab, it will be found in Gear Savannah.
Quest
Recruiting Hackmon
Recruiting him shouldnt be difficult. He is eager to go help you fight against the corruption, but apparently he is missing his lucky cape, stolen by a MetalMamemon.
Just go and retrieve it... you could probably talk some sense into him, and Hackmon will go to the DigiLab in a blink.
The origin of corruption
Once at the DigiLab, Hackmon claims he knows where the corruption started.
If you bring him a Corruption Shard, a DigiMemory, and a Dusty Gear, he can use them to pinpoint the origin of corruption and craft a Train Ticket (Corruption Source A) that will allow you to go there for a limited time.
